Quality Technician

DP World have an exciting opportunity for a QA Technician to join our growing team in Minworth, who will ensure that all internal quality functions always comply with customer quality standards.

Please note: This is a night shift, Monday-Friday/10pm-6am

How you will contribute

• Understand and follow the DP World quality policies and procedures as per quality management system and how these are linked to the ISO 9001 quality standards.


• Control & monitor quality issues raising problems with team leaders & management as required.


• Complete pack audits as per requirements.


• Carry out internal investigations and present written and/or verbal reports.


• Identify quality improvements and assist with their implementation to find long term solutions.


• Assist in containment activities and audit containment actions.


• Conduct system purge checks as required.


• Act as the company's representative on any quality matters raised by the customer at a production level.


• Ensure compliance for use of measuring equipment to comply with ISO 9001.


• Quality area is kept controlled to the required levels.


• Scrap reduction continual cost saving improvements.


• Training and development of pack audit team and Quality related cross-training of other staff
  
  Good secondary education with strong verbal and written skills


• Previous quality experience, at least a year


• Sound computer skills - Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint


• Experience in a packing and logistic environment (preferably automotive)


• Report writing.


• Understanding of JIT /Sequence management and LEAN Manufacturing concepts.


• Experience in a packing and logistic environment (preferably automotive).


• Previous experience of leading a small team
