Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated L3 Apprentice Nursery Nurse to join our team. You must have a keen interest in childcare, and previous experience of caring for children under five is desirable. You must have a sense of fun, be adaptable, enjoy helping children learn through their play experiences and be able to work as part of a team. You will be part of a caring team providing a safe, secure, happy and enabling environment where every child can learn, develop and grow.

Owlets Nursery is situated on the University campus in a modern purpose-built nursery. The Nursery has 4 big, bright spacious playrooms all of which have their own covered outdoor area which children can play freely indoors or outside. All children access our large, grassed area which surrounds the nursery daily no matter what the weather!

Whilst you are employed by us you will be trained in all aspects of childcare, child development and children's learning, both through taught days in college and practical experience in the nursery. We have an experienced team of early years practitioners who will help and guide you through your training. Exeter College Services Limited offers great opportunities for professional development and further training, as well as 31 days paid holiday each year.

Owlets is a purpose-built nursery which provides high quality childcare and early learning to give children the knowledge, skills, and opportunities for the best start in life. Children, staff, and parents benefit from four bright spacious playrooms each having their own outdoor covered area, where free flow between indoor and outdoor areas are encouraged.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum using the seven areas of learning to ignite the children's natural curiosity, imagination, and creativity to help them experience the awe and wonder of the world in which we live. To support and enhance the children's communication we are a Sing and Sign affiliated nursery.
