Full Job Description

  • Adopt the company's surveying standards.

  • Responsible for business development and active sales for area referencing services.

  • Collaborate with the surveying team and the survey manager.

  • Manage the entire project life cycle.

  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, to the required scope and ensure compliance with all Company Health and Safety (H&S) standards.

  • Ensure any H&S nonconformities identified are rectified so to continue to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.

  • Attend briefings as required.

  • Provide feedback at appropriate site/ management meetings.

  • Support, train and advise junior staff.

  • Liaise with clients on projects, when required.

  • Train Assistant and Junior Surveyors as required.

  • Any other duties as required by the business.

    We are currently recruiting for an Area Referencing Surveyor to join our Property Measurement and Consulting department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to work on exciting projects within the Geospatial industry. The ideal candidate will be a qualified chartered surveyor with 5 years' previous experience within the Geomatics sector. The successful applicant will be based in our London Watford office., Have a relevant degree qualification (Geomatics, Civil Engineering or similar) and at least 5 years of experience (be technically trained in all aspects of area referencing, laser scanning and surveying).

  • Chartered surveyor status or professional membership of surveying bodies (desirable).

  • 5 years' experience working with Point Clouds and knowledge of current point cloud processing technology.

  • Experience with and strong knowledge of the latest IPMS and the Code of measuring practice, published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with the ability to undertake surveys, process survey data, prepare drawings and report of same independently.

  • Competence with the standard outputs and deliverables in Measured Building Surveys & BIM.

  • Possess a strong understanding of common industry practices.

  • Possess a full clean UK driving license with flexibility to travel nationwide.

  • Possess a CSCS Card - as dictated by client or project.

  • Possess a certificate of manual handling.

  • Ability to manage a second team on a project.
