Full Job Description
1. To prepare swimming lesson plans for all classes in line with the Bubbles
framework.
2. To encourage and support babies and young children, together with their
parents / responsible adults, with their introduction to the aquatic environment
through games, songs and themed fun activities.
3. To demonstrate an understanding of the differences in ability between babies
and young children and to teach in a safe and enjoyable manner.
4. To provide swimmer assessments to parents / responsible adults to
encourage their child to progress and reach their full potential in the water.
5. To provide a high quality, professional teaching service through the
completion of registers, the setting up and taking down of equipment, fun and
engaging lessons, and the issuing of feedback and swimming awards to
customers.
6. To support the Aquatics Coordinator in the continuous development and
growth of the early years' programme by encouraging customers to complete
testimonials for publication via Aura's social media platforms.
7. To work collaboratively as part of the leisure centre team by helping to provide
teaching cover for other swimming lessons, by providing excellent
communication and guidance to colleagues and customers, and by supporting
and helping to upskill other newly qualified swimming instructors.,
