Full Job Description

We are looking for someone to play a pivotal role in our brewery supporting the head brewer in the production of our highly awarded Welsh beers.

We are pleased to announce that we are hiring for the new role of assistant brewer as we continue to invest in our brands, business and most importantly our people to ensure long term sustainable growth and cement ourselves and Wales No1. Brewery., Working as part of a small and loyal brewery team who are responsible for brewing the Glamorgan Brewery portfolio of beers to the people of Wales. You will be responsible for supporting the head brewer in producing and supplying some of Wales best and most iconic beers.,

  • Support head brewer in production of beer including mashing, boiling, fermenting, and cleaning the brewery & equipment.

  • Preparation and movement of ingredients to enable efficient production of great beer.

  • Completing brewery tasks such as: dry hopping, transferring, monitoring fermentation, carbonating, kegging beer and cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

  • Maintaining accurate brewers/production logs.

  • Using production planning tool BBrew. (Training provided)

  • Interacting with our loyal customers within our brewery shop and meet the brewer events, providing high levels of customer service.

  • Reporting of faulty equipment and ensuring all risk assessments are followed.

  • Track inventory of equipment and supplies.

  • Complete any other tasks or duties assigned.

    Working within a small team so punctuality and willingness to support others is key

  • Able to talk to our customers and offer the best customer service

  • Flexibility to work in other areas of the business when asked such as the warehouse operations.

  • Being flexible with your availability always and working to the needs of the business that operates 6 days a week., First hand, commercial brewery experience required.

  • Using a Forklift (training to be provided, pre employment)

  • Manual Handling is very much part of the role so using the correct techniques at all times is crucial. (Training provided pre employment)

  • Understand Licensing Laws and Challenge 25

  • Have an understanding of HACCP (training to be provided, pre employment)

  • Experience on dealing with customers face to face
