Category Manager

The Category Manager will support the delivery of a category strategy, driving value through being a trusted commercial advisor who supports and challenges stakeholders' requirements. They will provide procurement support and guidance ensuring adherence to procurement governance and procedures.

What will you do?

• Own Procurement Strategy for assigned categories, aligning commercial review and strategic opportunities to business priority.


• Provide clear sourcing strategies for BAU commodities to support internal stakeholders and simplify the P2P process.


• Lead project work, with support of the category managers


• Providing advice and professional procurement support to internal stakeholders.


• Lead for completion of commercial and contractual requirements Running the end-to-end procurement cycle for categories Ensure contracting remains up to date with business requirements, including inclusion of ESG and DEI values


• Shared responsibility for maintaining the SAP supplier database.
  
  Are you a procurement professional with experience working with professional services in a direct procurement role. Are you looking for a challenging new opportunity?, CIPS or willingness to study desirable (equivalent experience will be considered)


• Proven procurement experience as a category manager within a large company, in a highly regulated environment.


• Good understanding of strategic procurement with ability to work with and develop category strategies.


• Proven track record for leading complex RFI/P, procurement activities whilst delivering value.


• Good communicator with strong written and presentation skills


• Thrives in fast pace, challenging and changing environment.
