Full Job Description

Encouraging, befriending and supporting the children & families who are already part of the church and those loosely connected with it; Supporting and developing existing ministries with families & children and Junior Church activities; Engaging with parents of children locally to helpThis role is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Hope Church; an evangelical Methodist congregation with a good mix of ages. We are a fellowship of around 60, which includes young families, and we currently engage with 20-25 families mid week via our coffee morning and toddler group.

Hope Church wants to support all people to grow their Christian faith - young and old, churched or not - we long to see more people growing as disciples. We want to be known for making a positive difference in our community - offering support, encouragement and a welcome to all. We aim to empower young people to take the next step on their own faith journey, through building relationships and equipping for life. We are looking for a Childrens and Families Worker to take a key role in our mission of Hope Church who would have responsibility for developing our work children and families.

Under the direction of the Minister in Pastoral Charge, and the Church Council, the post holder will be responsible for the pastoral care and development of work with children and young people within Hope Church Cadoxton. The post holder will follow best practice in working with Children and young people and by their example, and through loving care, enable children and families to explore the Christian faith. serve their needs and introduce them to the church family here.
