Full Job Description

Supporting the Team Leader , the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the care of all children who use the crèche, and for delivering that care in accordance with current policies and procedures. In the absence of the Team Leader, they will be expected to manage the allocation of staff to ensure adequate coverage in line with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) ratios and for the direction of staff in order to meet the requirements of the service supervision.

They will be responsible for the supervision of staff and of children's activities whilst at the Crèche and have flexibility to perform any other duties as required.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and cheerful Deputy Team Leader to our well established team at Withybush Creche. The successful candidate will need a recognised childcare qualification, such as a Level 3, or above, Diploma in Childcare, and experience within a childcare setting, either as an assistant, or at a supervisory level., Qualified to Level 3, or above with a recognised childcare qualification, the successful candidate will need to have a good level of general education, and significant experience of childcare in a crèche, day care or nursery setting is an essential requirement and previous experience in a supervisory capacity, would be beneficial.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply., The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.
