Full Job Description

The ideal candidate will be an existing Deputy Manager, or an experienced support worker who wishes to develop their career further. Applicants will have experience of working in a similar environment. You will be a great addition to the team if you enjoy working and interacting with people, have the right personality and share the same values as us. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, effective communicators, with high standards of care, and who are sensitive to the needs of people with learning disabilities.

Working hours are 40 hours per week (including 8 hours admin time per week). You will also be part of the 24hr on call rota; a flexible approach to work is essential. You will work on the floor providing care to service users and supporting the team, as well as spending time off the floor supporting the Registered Manager in the general running and compliance of the home.

Can you provide a customised, responsive, and high-quality service to a person with Autism and sensory needs?

  • have experience managing and motivating teams

  • have a clear understanding of CQC regulations and compliance, or be willing to learn

  • have an NVQ level 3 in health and social care, or equivalent

  • probably have a full UK driving licence

  • An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team as a Deputy Manager at one of our homes in Eastbourne. The home specialises in person-centred care for people with learning difficulties and autism.

    You will spend a lot of time laughing with the individuals that you will be working with, as they all have a wonderful sense of humour. Every day is different and you will be out and about attending social events, playing football and keeping active with the individuals in this house.

    In return, you can expect:

    a salary of £27,456.00 (which is reviewed annually)
  • sleep in shifts paid at £50 extra per night (the possibility to earn an additional £2,000-£4,000 per year, depending on the number of sleep ins you can do)
