The post holder will be based within the Projects and Space Management team in the Estates and Facilities department. The Estates and Facilities department oversees the operation of the significant University Estate, with over 70 buildings spread over 5 sites, including Pontypridd, Cardiff and Newport.

The University\xe2\x80\x99s facilities are impressive, from modern and exciting buildings at the heart of Newport and Cardiff city centres, to best-in-class facilities at the Sports Park, with facility users in recent years including the New Zealand rugby team, and a numerous international football teams. Much of the University\xe2\x80\x99s estate is located at Treforest, Pontypridd, where there are fantastic opportunities to enhance and complement the array of existing facilities on offer, with exciting investment plans underway.

The Estates and Facilities department is seeking to appoint an experienced and professional Estates Building Surveyor to fulfil an integral role in the department and wider University.

This is an exciting role, which will be attractive to a driven and energetic individual, who will deliver a pivotal professional service to support the maintenance and development of the University physical estate. The role will be critical importance to develop annual and long-term maintenance plans, in understanding the value of our assets, and the condition of our estate. The role will also be pivotal in implementing our investment plans, and will have the opportunity to be part of numerous exciting projects.

The university is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. However, the successful candidate would be expected to work on campus for most of the week.
