Full Job Description

We currently have an amazing opportunity here at our Witton, Birmingham Plant at Timet for a Graduate HSE & Facilities Officer role.

You will be responsible for providing support for the HSE office, while training to become a HSE professional. Successful candidate will also be providing proactive HSE Coordination, including in-depth data analytics in the Plant.

Essential Functions

· Will maintain HSE reporting systems, producing monthly reports to include accident data, IR trends and closed out actions.

· Deputize for the HSE manager as required.

· Develop and implement solutions for gathering HSE data to resolve issues including the number of outstanding and overdue actions.

· Responsible for maintaining the accident and incident reporting systems daily, will compile accident and incident statistics to identify trends to assist the HSE Lead in effectively reducing injury rates by implementing accident and near miss prevention.

· Will monitor the implementation of corrective actions from accidents and incidents to ensure ongoing compliance.

Work with Operation to update PHA (functional support), document findings and create executive summary for Zero harm review. to identify hazards that may need immediate actions using trend analysis from the data collected (Develop trend analysis by risk and area)

· Produce monthly reports for management and team meetings to include accident data, Incident Report trends and closed out actions.

· Will support with new starter HSE inductions when necessary.

· Will monitor remedial actions from statutory inspection reports.

· Will support the auditing of the Plant by carrying out safety tours and inspections. Will report on findings and refer results/actions as required.

· Degree qualified in Engineering or Sciences.

· Must have a Strong interest in safety and environment.

Experience

· None required but great work ethics, punctuality.

· Strong organization and prioritization skills demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of activities in a systematic way.

· Demonstrates excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

· Works with minimal supervision; able to work under pressure to competing demands and stakeholders, strong customer focus.

· Experience of analysing information and presenting reports in a clear and simple way.

· Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.

Technical Competencies

· PC literate to include:

· Microsoft Office packages: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
