Full Job Description

You will need demonstrable experience of working across a number of the current countries across Rayner's European geography.

You will also support the region on HR processes and people management, including performance management, absence, policies, and employee relations.

This role will also support the VP HR with all strategic projects and change management required for successful implementation, including integration from mergers and acquisitions, learning and development, engagement initiatives and business improvement projects. The role will remain up to date with relevant local country legislation and compliance requirements.

  • Act as business partner to the European Management team and is the key contact for employees and Managers within the business unit.

  • Influence and implement the global HR strategy across Europe.

  • Provide line management for the UK HR team providing direction to team members and support their development.

  • Actively supports the delivery of HR Processes, projects and initiatives.

  • Acts as a performance improvement deliverer and provokes positive changes in people management.

  • With support from the VP HR, implement and update performance management processes, identify training needs and legal and compliance related matters.

  • Provide HR and change management support when integrations are required following mergers and acquisitions.

  • Actively support managers with all employee relations case work (inc. Absence management, performance, disciplinary and capability).

  • Partner between hiring managers and the talent acquisition partner to ensure open vacancies in your area are being filled with quality candidates in good time.

  • Oversee the payroll, benefits and local reporting requirements (e.g. P11D for your business areas, collating all information required for the monthly payroll process ensuring that data is accurately gathered, recorded, and submitted for all employees, including overtime, unpaid sickness / absences, pension, benefits, bonuses, salary changes, starters and leavers, address and bank details changes etc.

  • Complete monthly HR metrics and reports for the region, making recommendations for improvement where required.

  • Deliver HR reports and analysis for annual salary review.

  • Create and attend, where practical Country Manager meetings and relevant business meetings in your region to represent HR and HR value-add.

    Graduate and/or CIPD qualified

  • Outside UK HR experience - experience of working across some, if not all, Rayner's EU geographies

  • Strong credibility and able to handle ambiguity

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • Strong business and Financial Acumen

  • Analytical and problem solving skills, able to interpret data and data accuracy essential

  • Solid employment law knowledge

  • Able to travel to Rayner office locations on occasion to attend business meetings
