Full Job Description

As the Head of People and Development, you will play a crucial leadership role in shaping and driving the company's human resources strategy and operations. You will develop and promote an environment where health, wellbeing and personal development are key. You will ensure our compliance with P&D regulations across Europe, navigating the complexities of global mobility and safeguarding our commitment to GDRP, health and safety, quality and environmental standards. Above all, you will engage with the team in a kind, human and personal manner.,

  • Wellbeing - Develop and implement initiatives to enhance company culture, staff retention and overall wellbeing.

  • Mentorship - Support the managers in their role as leaders of people. Helping them with their teams in terms of recruitment, induction, reviews, performance, training and career advancement.

  • Compliance - Ensure compliance with all applicable employments laws, regulations and HR policies, including our teams in Germany, The Netherlands and Monaco.

  • Global Mobility - Lead on global mobility - (working with our Global Mobility Coordinator) -Driving the strategy and supporting our employees working regularly in the EU and worldwide.

  • Payroll - Oversee payroll, including shadow payroll - it's legal compliance, taxation, and ramifications to UK tax.

  • Team Leader - Lead the P&D team.

  • Communication - Take a lead on internal communication to ensure the company is kept well informed.

  • Health and Safety, Quality & the Environment - Oversee these functions - (working with our Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager) - to ensure a safe working environment, sustainable working and the highest quality of work.

  • GDPR - Safeguard GDPR compliance, prioritising data protection and privacy across all HR functions.

    Proven experience in HR leadership roles, with a focus on health, wellbeing, compliance, and development.

  • In depth knowledge of P&D regulations and a good knowledge of employment law.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for supporting and empowering employees.

  • Ability to navigate complex challenges with empathy, integrity, and resourcefulness.

  • Minimum CIPD level 5/ degree equivalent qualified.

  • Experience managing a small team., Knowledge of P&D regulations in Europe (France, Germany & The Netherlands), GDPR and global mobility practices.

  • A strong understanding of health and safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental considerations.

  • Experience of ISO19001 and ISO14001 certification.
