Health Care Assistant

This is a varied role involving everything from welcoming the patient into the surgery, preparing them for minor surgery, supporting them, setting up instruments for surgery and clearing away afterwards. It is not for the feint hearted, but is for someone who wants a busy and very varied role. You must be okay with the site of blood!,

• Greeting patients


• Setting patient sup for surgery and providing appropriate emotional support


• Preparing the room for minor surgery, including setting up instruments in a sterile field


• Looking after patients post-operatively


• Management of stock and reporting supplies


• Taking billings and fees from the patients


• Phlebotomy and dressing wounds (if qualified)
  
  This role would suit someone looking to enter into healthcare, or someone more experienced or retired looking to keep their hand in. We provide all training required. Good computer skills are essential (Outlook and Teams). We use our own patient management system designed for private practice, but any experience of EMIS or similar would be useful., Educated to A level/ level 3 Diploma/ NVQ/ certificate/ award

Desirable:

• Previous reception experience and/ or previous healthcare experience


• Any experience of CQC regulation or similar
