Full Job Description
- Supporting and coaching other members of staff and deputising for management in their absence.
- Giving great customer service by helping customers with various transactions across the store.
- Driving sales through customer interactions alongside selling the benefits of the Dobbies Club membership.
- Offering a helping hand with customer queries through high-quality product knowledge. - including: houseplant, bedding, herbaceous, shrubs, composts, machinery, and tools.
- Working with your team to ensure Horti department is kept to high standard. Floors swept, tables clean, shelves dusted and creation and maintenance of plants/gardening displays.
- Some key holder responsibilities may be required.
- You will also work on the shopfloor and other areas of the store as and when required, this may include working stock, cash handling, till work, take to car deliveries, stock control routines, litter picking, gritting the carpark, restaurant service- an ideal opportunity to gain more skills and experience.
You have a passion for delivering a great customer experience, serving everyone with a smile. - Ideally, you have experience within a customer facing role and a passion for plants and all things horticulture.
- Experience within a supervisor role or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential
- Ability to lift heavy objects as the Horti team can be heavily relied on for big moves and large projects in store.
- You work well within a team, building relationships, and have fun every shift, whilst celebrating success.
- You show up to work on time, well presented and bring your can do and hardworking attitude along with you.
- You are eager to learn new skills and gain new experiences.
- You flourish in a busy, fast-paced environment.
