Full Job Description
Airport Cargo Ltd is looking for a full time Import Clerk working Tuesday through to Saturday from 9.00 am until 6.00 pm, in the Feltham area. Starting salary is from £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (depending on experience) rising to £30,000 per annum subject to satisfactory performance.
Under the general direction of the Director, undertake the day-to-day responsibilities of clearing personal and corporate client's imports and exports by ship, air or road, ensuring correct procedures and legislation are followed.
Duties include
Pre-notifying Port Health on all POAO and non-POAA via IPAFFs
Pre-notifying imports of Plants, plant products and other objects via IPAFFS
Undertaking custom clearance
Liaising with customers and their drivers on imports/exports
Raising invoices
Responding to emails
A valid UK driving license is required and if the successful candidate does not have access to a car then they must be aged 25 or over to drive the company car.
