Full Job Description

Due to our continued success and further business expansion, we are looking to appoint a In House IT Manager.

Our highly valued existing IT Manager will be embarking on a new adventure towards the end of this year so as such we are seeking the right person to replace them and work alongside in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

This is an integral role spanning a number of businesses in a diverse consortium of Family-owned companies. Based at our Head Offices between Truro and Newquay you will be working alongside the Business Owners and Senior Management Team to ensure the seamless delivery of IT services. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will install, troubleshoot, and enhance various components while actively exploring new technologies to contribute to their continuous improvement.

Reporting directly to the Owners of the Business you will lead and manage the IT support function. ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, resolving technical issues promptly, and delivering high-quality customer service. This role involves overseeing the response to inbound technical support issues, defining support processes.

In addition, your role will be focused on forward planning for business expansion, maintaining and upgrading systems in line with technological developments and suitability for the business whilst striving for efficiency and cost-effectiveness at all times.

Main Responsibilities of the IT Manager:

  • Execute daily tasks, including system monitoring, project progress, troubleshooting, and incident resolution, ensuring precision and efficiency.

  • Lead the installation of diverse IT infrastructure elements, including networks, computers, servers, and racks, ensuring seamless functionality. Together with CCTV, Security systems etc.

  • Troubleshoot, upgrade, and optimize existing infrastructures to improve overall performance and meet evolving requirements.

  • Source hardware equipment and organize comprehensive buying lists, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality with collaboration with Procurement team.

  • Oversee contractors' work, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.

  • Configure and troubleshoot issues to maintain a secure and efficient operating environment.

  • Address the maintenance and repair of printers, scanners, and other IT equipment to uphold operational efficiency.
