Laundry Assistant

We'd like you to join us as a Laundry Assistant - at our Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Nottingham.

At Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre , we offer rehabilitation, care and support to people with a brain injury or other neurological condition. We're committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.

We specialise in the treatment, care and support of individuals with physical and cognitive impairments as a result of brain injury or other progressive neurological condition.

We have three interconnecting units: Millwood, Fernwood and Rosewood providing three distinct, yet complementary services on one site, we offer flexible care options from our specialist on-site team with amazing facilities including Physiotherapy gymnasium, Therapy kitchens, Activities Room, Sensory room and a Minibus for appointments and fun outings!

What you'll be working:

• 15 hours - 2 days a week


What you'll be doing:

• Perform all laundry-related tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, towels, and personal clothing.


• Operate and maintain laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines.


• Ensure that all laundry processes adhere to safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of chemicals and detergents.


• Sort laundry items according to type, colour, fabric, and washing instructions.


• Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed, such as cleaning common areas, restocking supplies, or assisting with room turnovers.
  
  Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Previous experience in laundry operations or housekeeping preferred.


• Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures.
