Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for those who have always wanted to take their passion for
martial arts and turn it into a successful career.
The successful applicant for this role would be responsible for running 1 to 4 classes per week, dependant of the candidate.
To start with this position will be for 16 hours per week. This would consist of one evening
of teaching (approx. 4 hours) and 12 hours dedicated to admin, such as finding and
following up on student leads, lesson planning etc. Every night of teaching after this would be approximately an additional 4 hours up to 28 hours a week.
Growth and development opportunities are provided, with pay rewards and a bonus
scheme reflecting this.
Training on the company curriculum and systems will be provided, though a background in
kickboxing or similar may be of particular help.
Recruitment for this role will be running until Friday 28th June 2024, with a view to launch the successful candidates school at the beginning of September 2024.
Duties of the role
- Develop and implement lesson plans based on the company curriculum that are
engaging and interactive for students.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
Be able to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
utilising a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate varying levels
of ability and learning style.
- Be willing to undergo a full enhanced DBS check in order to teach students.
Required Attributes and Experience:
- Experience in martial arts, having achieved the minimum of Black Belt.
- Experience in lesson design and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and the importance of curriculum design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students.
- Patience, empathy and a passion for teaching., Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
- GCSE or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Sports Coaching or equivalent (Desired but not required)
- Activity Leadership or equivalent (Desired but not required),
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
