This exciting new opportunity boasts a variety of new facilities, including 5 state of the art meeting rooms, in the bustling heart of Brighton., As our Meeting & Events Sales Manager, you will lead the sale of our meeting and events function with in the hotel with the support and leadership of our Director of Sales & Markering/ Sales & Marketing Manager, ensuring that Maldron Hotel Brighton becomes the number 1 destination for meeting and events! We welcome you to embark with us on this rare and exciting journey, and supporting us to make Maldron Hotel Brighton the 'heart of hospitalty' in Brighton and joining a truly dynamic and nurturing team., Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager/Director of Sales & Marketing the Meeting & Events Sales Manager will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the Meeting & Events sales targets of hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To proactively generate meeting and events enquiries for the team.


  • To work at promotional shows and stands to promote the hotel


  • To meet weekly KPI targets on sales appointments and promotional shows


  • To work with the proactive and reactive sales teams to deliver meetings and events budgeted revenue weekly/monthly


  • To give input on activity and new ideas to generate revenue to the quarterly and annual sales and marketing plan


  • To conduct site inspections on the property with potential clients


  • To negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.


  • To comfortably entertain appropriate clients when required.


  • To close prospects as confirmed bookings and maximise all revenue potential by upselling in all revenue producing areas.

    1 - 2 years previous event sales or coordinating experience in a hotel or venue at either an excuitve or manager level


  • Experience working with customers

  • An excellent command of the English language

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Possess the ability to see an opportunity act on it to secure revenue for the Hotel.


  • Strong selling and interpersonal skills.


  • High level of creativity.


  • Full driving license is desired but not essential
