Full Job Description

  • To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery

  • To support other team members throughout the setting

  • To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop


    • Key areas
  • Work with and support children aged 3months - 5yrs

  • Work as part of a team

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents


    • Responsible to
  • Manager/Deputy, Room leader, To contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children

  • Have updated training in First aid, Safeguarding and Food safety

  • Liaise with parents/carers to ensure they are accessing the Tapestry App

  • Support other team members

  • Attend out of working hours activities e.g. Monthly staff meetings, Training, Parents eve, Fundraising events etc

  • Be prepared to help where needed including occasionally moving rooms and domestic jobs e.g. Washing, cleaning, Sterilising etc


    • Minimum of Level 2/3 Early years childcare qualification is required.

    Upon successful interview and job acceptance a full enhanced DBS will be required before you are able to start. You will be required to sign up to the DBS update service.
