Full Job Description

If you are an internal applicant this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.
To have a flexible approach and adaptable in respect of daily work routines.
To provide support to any area within the Health Records Department, as required. Areas include: Health Records Library, Clinic Prep, The Subject Access Department and Offsite Units.
The provision of a Health Records Service as appropriate.
The efficient use of the appropriate PAS to ensure accuracy in the tracking & recording of all case note movement.
To prepare and maintain case notes to a high standard and to repair or replace as necessary.
Advising medical/admin staff of the availability / unavailability of case notes for clinic.
To ensure all movement of case notes is recorded in line with Health Board Policy and Procedure.
To participate in any projects as instructed.
To undertake allocated filing requirements on a daily basis, when instructed by departmental supervisor., The Health Records Department at Morriston Hospital currently has the following fixed term part time positions available for a Health Records Clerk.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team. The post holders will require excellent communication skills, have a very positive and flexible approach to work, be motivated and ready for the next challenge and also enjoy working as part of a very busy team.
Knowledge of WPAS / IFIT and previous Health Records experience is desirable, however full in house training will be provided.
Hours of work would be:
Post 1 - Wed 3pm-9pm, Thur 3:30pm-9pm, Sat 9am-12pm and Sun 9am-12pm
Post 2 - Mon 3pm-9pm, Fri 3:30pm-9pm, Sat 9am-12pm and Sun 9am-12pm, The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
