Full Job Description

These critical posts will work closely with Clinical Pharmacists, the wider Clinical Team and patients to provide a comprehensive and optimised medicines management service to inpatients, daycase and outpatients, including leading on the expansion of the oral SACT services and homecare delivery. It is essential to be able to manage your own workload to ensure the provision of a timely and efficient service.
Supporting existing roles, you will also lead the development and expansion of the operational services provided from the Cancer Centre Pharmacy Dispensary. This will include expanding roles whilst maintaining safe practices, developing SOPs, and support training of new staff. The post-holder will be given an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills further through development opportunities.

Due to the introduction of new ways of working, we are recruiting two highly motivated, conscientious, patient focused Pharmacy Technicians to join the busy Cancer Centre Pharmacy team. These exciting new roles will complement our existing technician role to support the expansion of technician-led ward based, clinical services, Drive-Through and Homecare activity particularly for oral anti cancer therapy (SACT).
We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative, individuals with excellent communication and organisational skills.
