Full Job Description

  • Establish and maintain effective customer relations with all key personnel.

  • Assist and provide cover for other staff members in their duties as required.

  • Preparation of all garments for installation including bar code application, RFID encoding, emblem application and alterations.

  • Emblem stock control - ensure the security, condition, and acceptability of all stock.

  • Ensure minimum stock levels for emblem requirements.

  • Compliance to site KPI's, including working to deadlines.

  • Liaise with Production Manager to ensure installations are met for New Business and customer contract renewals.

  • Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.

    Attention to detail.

  • Experience of working within a highly customer- focused service environment.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff.

  • Ability to make decisions.

  • Flexible and able to react quickly to the needs of the customer & Elis.

  • Basic IT literacy.

  • Problem solving/analytical ability.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Well spoken, clarity of speech, friendliness of tone, articulate.

  • Patient, polite and courteous.

  • Flexibility to work unsocial hours.


    • Experience:
  • Previous experience of using a sewing machine is desirable, but not essential.

  • Maths and English to GCSE level (Grade C and above) or vocational training.

  • Health & Safety regulation exposure in a previous role., production: 1 year (preferred)

  • Sewing: 1 year (preferred)

    • The role for this position is to personalise garments according to customer requirements so that laundries receive workwear ready to be processed and delivered to the wearers. Through performing these activities, the Value Added Service function will deliver service excellence to Elis' customers by minimising lead times and maximising On Time In Full (OTIF) while minimising cost.
