Full Job Description

As a Production Technician your responsibilities will include, although are not limited to:

  • Performs process manufacturing tasks, as per the specified method, including operation and calibration of small-scale equipment, weighing, measuring, mixing, blending and monitoring of raw and in-process materials to assure batches contain proper ingredients, quantities and process output.

  • Identifies and informs the Production Team Leader of equipment malfunctions or process outputs that do not meet expected outcomes.

  • Fills out process documentation timely and accurately as required by SOPs. Writes up instances where process failures occurred.

  • Maintains manufacturing areas to GMP standards of cleanliness and neatness.

  • Assists with cleaning duties such sweeping, mopping floors, wiping down equipment, carrying away and appropriately disposing of trash when required.

  • Performs the required daily and weekly laboratory duties assigned by the Production Team Leader.

  • Follows established quality, safety, and environmental procedures and policies.

  • Maintain an orderly, safe work area.

  • Notifies Production Team Leader of unusual product observations, during manufacture or starting materials handling, to assure potential quality issues being identified, reviewed and resolved prior to release of product.

  • Conducts in process checks of production, ensuring clearance, approval etc. are completed according to GMP rules.

  • Ensures that all starting and packaging materials are stored according to the recommended storage conditions

  • Produces batch cards and labels as required by the Production Team Leader

  • Creates and check Master Labels for new products.

  • Checks the correctness of processed orders.

  • Performs regular stock-taking of starting materials and reconciliation (stock adjustment) if required

  • Observing and complying with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).

  • Observing and complying with company Health and Safety Policies.

  • Observing and complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
