Join our dynamic team as a Site Supervisor, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the seamless execution of various projects across Essex. Reporting directly to the Engineer, Scheduler & Project Lead, you'll embody a consistent and visible presence on-site, effectively managing our Supply Chain Partners (Subcontractors) to ensure project success.
Your primary responsibilities will revolve around vigilantly monitoring Safety, Quality, and Environmental performance, while meticulously documenting all site activities through accurate written and photographic records.
This position is integral to our Member Highways Initiative team, where we spearhead member-led maintenance programs, focusing on Footway & Carriageway defect repairs. As part of this initiative, you'll act as the Principal Contractor, driving excellence in project delivery.
Drawing upon your wealth of knowledge and experience, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that projects are executed safely, maintaining a high standard of quality, adhering to schedules and budgets, and upholding compliance with company policies, legislation, and industry best practices.
The Role

  • Supervise allocated works to supply chain partners

  • Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget

  • Ensure that all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements

  • Follow RJ's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures at all times

  • Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH

  • Complete Site Inductions and issue Permits to Work

    Experience working in the construction industry, preferably Highways

  • Proficient in Supervision of Construction sites

  • Preference will be given to candidates holding any or all of the following qualifications: -

  • o NRSWA, SSSTS / SMSTS, CSCS, Temporary Works Supervisor, First Aid at Work
  • Experience undertaking construction work in the vicinity of underground services preferred

  • Experience in the supervision or operation of traffic management preferred.
