Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a IRC for a supporting change, recovery worker to work at Yarl's Wood IRC. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate, flexible, and creative in their approach and can work alongside medical staff and the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality and effective administrative support.

NHFT provide Healthcare and Wellbeing services to service users in Yarl's Wood IRC

The post holder will work within the recovery team to provide psychosocial support to service users, through structured interventions
such as group work and individual appointments.

The post holder will work alongside the Doctors and integrated substance misuse clinical team to review and support service users
with past and current substance misuse issues.

The post holder will work alongside the integrated substance misuse clinical team, assisting with managing a caseload of service
users receiving drug and alcohol substitution therapy.

The post holder will work independently on the units and as part of the nursing reception team performing assessments and 1:1
interventions.

The post holder will liaise with internal and external teams relevant to the service user's care.

The post holder will ensure continuity of care for service users transferring both into the community and abroad, via referral and
appoint them to community teams.

The post holder will provide all service users with harm minimisation information, naloxone training and a take home naloxone on
discharge.

The post holder will contribute to the development support and implementation of individual recovery plans for service users.

The post holder will work within the wider substance misuse team to develop and deliver trauma informed therapeutic activities and
programs.
