Are you passionate about finance and thrive in a dynamic environment? Join our team as a VP Client Service supporting Banking and Corporate Finance Division within the Santander Corporate Investment Bank (SCIB). The Business Unit covers a number of services for clients including transaction banking, debt advisory, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and financial advisory.

You'll also be responsible for development and maintenance of the existing Risk and Control framework and ensuring adherence to defined control framework and processes.

The difference you'll make:

  • Managing implementation pipeline book of work and execution teams consisting of Client Service, Client Due Diligence (KYC) and Quality Control

  • Providing an efficient, standardized client journey across internal entities and business units

  • Managing internal local and global stakeholders; KYC, Credit, Legal and Operational teams, to ensure the throughput and Time to Market of requests meets Business and Client demand

  • Acting as primary, daily point of contact for clients, correspondent banks and/or market counterparties

  • Terminating the ability to do business with a Client / Counterparty when exit / suspension procedures are required

    Experience in the corporate and investment banking products and clients with an understanding of the Client Onboarding Lifecycle

  • Understanding of process and technology management with experience in complex onboarding, regulatory issues and escalation case handling


  • It would also be nice for you to have:
  • Additional Languages is desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge and experience of KYC requirements

  • Knowledge of process improvement - Change management and implementation thereof

  • Experience in data manipulation and presenting to various stakeholders

    This role is based in Triton Square, London and our current expectation is at least 3 days in an office every week.
