Warehouse Operative / Stand In Driver

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative/Stand in Driver to join our busy, growing team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and working to meet daily KPIs, the role includes picking and packing, customising product, quality and inventory control and general housekeeping. Additionally, when needed, you will be responsible for delivering shipments in London and surrounding areas to our customers in a professional, friendly, and timely manner using our company van. You will be responsible for the vehicle and safe driving whilst out on routes, logging fuel usage and maintaining a clean and tidy van. Using a mobile device for your route and will also be logging deliveries and collections making sure the customer signs and you have taken a photo for POD records. You will be the face of VCE to customers so you must have fantastic customer service skills and be presentable each day.,

• Picking customer orders


• Packing customer orders


• Customisation of product to customer specification


• Minor repair of product


• Quality inspection of product


• Offloading containers, checking in and labelling stock


• Stock rotation


• Stock counting and location checks


• Following warehouse H&S procedures


• Delivering goods in company van when required
  
  The successful applicant will be ambitious and driven and keen to progress as the company grows. Flexibility is also key to this role; you will need to adapt as the workflow dictates and to manage tight deadlines., Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

• Minimum secondary education level


• Experience in a similar role (desirable)


• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)


• Electrical knowledge (advantageous but not essential)


• Desire to be part of the growing success of the business.


• Full UK driving licence with no points


• Delivery drop and pick up experience.


• Due to insurance requirements, the successful applicant must be 21 or older.
