The main purpose of this role is to directly contribute to increasing the visibility of our charity's work, engage a broader audience, and mobilise support for our causes. The role is integral to amplifying our voice and ensuring that our message resonates with the community and beyond.
Key Tasks
Content Creation

Create and distribute public relations and marketing materials, including press releases, blog posts, and newsletters.

Craft compelling stories and updates about the charity's impact and activities to engage and inspire the community.

Coordinate with media outlets to secure coverage for the charity's events and initiatives.

Respond to media inquiries and facilitate interviews with key spokespeople.

Create and schedule content for social media platforms to increase the charity's online presence and reach.

Monitor and analyse social media performance to optimise engagement strategies.

Assist in promoting fundraising events and campaigns through various communication channels.

Design and disseminate promotional materials to attract participants and donors.

Maintain regular communication with donors and supporters through newsletters and personalised updates.

Develop and manage communication strategies to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders.

Traveling around our services and attending events in order to meet with staff, service users and supporters and hear their stories first hand.

Key relationships include but are not limited to Mind in West Essex staff, volunteers, fundraisers, partner organisations across the voluntary and statutory sectors, potential and current funders, media outlets, Mind and other local Mind Associations

Ensure all communication materials align with the charity's brand voice and messaging guidelines.

Collaborate with the design team to produce visually appealing content that enhances the charity's image.

Track the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns using analytics tools.

Prepare reports on communication activities and outcomes to inform future strategies
