Full Job Description
As Teaching Assistant 1:1 you will be responsible for supporting pupils in the classroom which may at times involve 1:1 support and at playtimes. We would want to appoint a flexible and dedicated professional with classroom experience. Please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support and will need to be able to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of the children.
We are looking for a flexible and dedicated Teaching Assistant who possesses:
- A variety of communication skills to respond to the needs of the children.
- Empathy and understanding children's individual learning abilities.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children who have ASD.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children who have communication and interaction difficulties.
- An understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1 and KS2
- Patience and a good sense of humour
- Flexibility
- Willing to go the extra mile for the children in their care.
- Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.
