Full Job Description

Working within a highly regulated warehouse, ensuring daily compliance to authorised governing bodies within the pharmaceutical sector. This role requires a motivated individual who is performance and quality orientated, enjoys engaging with all team members from all background to build strong working relationships and can effectively adhere to department guidelines around safety, hygiene and good distribution practices. In accordance with our site H&S risk assessment, applicants must be at least 18 years old. The required working hours are: Monday to Friday: 6am to 2pm (30mins unpaid lunch break) Roles and responsibilities can include:

  • Always ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, including Health & Safety, Medicines & Health Regulatory Agency (MHRA) guidelines.
  • Ensuring required quality standards are met by all staff
  • Monitoring daily KPI's, staff performance and desired targets
  • Ability to communicate with team members effectively
  • Daily management of the replenishment of medicinal products required for customer orders in both the WMS and KNAPP environments, including any reports, to ensure availability
  • Daily management of the collection and put away of Goods In deliveries
  • Ensuring sufficient, adequately trained staff are available to handle the daily workload
  • Resource and Equipment management
  • Reporting any defective equipment or equipment issues to the Warehouse Management or on-site engineers
  • Management & allocation of the Stock Counting procedure
  • Management & allocation of the Date Checking procedure
  • Ensuring FEFO practices take place at the time of replenishment/goods in put away
  • Ensuring all SOPs are always adhered to
  • Support recruitment and training of staff
  • Additional Duties
  • Manual Picking of orders in both the KNAPP & WMS environments using scanners
  • Packing & Repacking (where required) of orders in a way which protects the integrity and quality of products we are distributing to our customers
  • Safe loading and management of the container de stacker
  • Management of the Goods Out Zones - Including order resolution, sortation and storage
  • Spot Checks on tasks performed but the team you are responsible for
  • Objectives
  • Overall responsibility for the fulfilment and accuracy of replenishment and goods in delivery put away
  • Ensure GDP guidelines are always adhered to
  • Manage time and attendance within area of responsibility
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards
  • Ensure security of the site when leaving premises
  • Daily dialogue / handover with team members and Warehouse management
  • Liaise and assist security where necessary

    Multi-skilled mentality, willing to learn any job required
  • Enthusiastic and pro-active attitude to the job is a must
  • High level of attention to detail with a 'right first time' approach
  • Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualification Required Essential
  • Good numeracy and literacy ability
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work without constant supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve department targets
  • Able to carry out manual lifting tasks as orders can be for full outers.
  • Conscientious, reliable, with good attendance and timekeeping standards.
  • Flexible to work past contracted hours to suit business needs
  • High standard of personal hygiene

  • Experience working in pharmaceutical warehouse environment
  • GDP & MHRA knowledge
  • Forklift truck licence
  • Previous experience of management / leading a team
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
