Full Job Description

We are excited to offer this opportunity to join our North East Area as a Secretary. This role supports 7 members of our senior Area Leadership Team, primarily through diary and meeting management. Tasks that the successful candidate will complete include:

  • Managing the secretarial support mailbox, responding to queries, and escalating as appropriate
  • Setting up an ongoing schedule of meetings across the area as well as ad hoc meeting requests
  • Organising meeting venues and travel
  • Maintaining email distribution lists
  • Administering annual leave requests, including organising Scheme of Delegation forms

This may attract an additional payment, and full training will be available to support you with your incident role. The team The Secretary role is part of our Business Office Team, which acts as the business support hub for the North East Area and sits within the Environmental Planning and Engagement Department. The Business Office Team carries out a wide range of 'behind the scenes' functions providing a range of administrative and business support services across the area and to our Area Leadership Team.

    The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Work closely with members of the senior Area Leadership Team
  • Confidently use the range of Microsoft programmes, particularly Outlook and Teams
  • Manage and organise multiple busy and conflicting schedules
  • Prioritise workload with tasks from a range of sources
