Full Job Description

The post-holder will develop and lead a substantial programme of research on genetic epidemiology applied to one or more of cancer aetiology, mechanisms, molecular risk prediction/stratification and progression in collaboration with colleagues in the Department, School (e.g. Bristol NIHR Biomedical Research Centre), Faculty, University and internationally (e.g. International Agency for Research on Cancer). They will design, obtain funding for, conduct, and disseminate high-quality original research to answer key questions of cancer population health and clinical relevance. They will produce evidence that will help improve intervention discovery and translation and inform policy and practice.

You have a depth and breadth of knowledge in cancer epidemiology and population health science with the experience of leading and conducting high-quality genetic and/or molecular epidemiology. You must have evidence of leading research proposal development with a record of winning grant funding to support research and support of successful funding bids with a strong publication record.
