Full Job Description

Accessories Business Unit is responsible for developing the strategy, product and process to deliver outstanding personalisation options for our customers. You will be responsible for product delivery within the Platform Lead Accessories team. You will be responsible for how we deliver and meet all defined targets, attributes CTQ and for the execution of deliverables on programmes. You will also be accountable for reporting on status at relevant gateways to all levels. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provide a single point of contact and outstanding representation for Accessories Engineering, leading
  • Product delivery vision and planning liaising with the Chapter Leads and Heads of various functions i.e.Chassis, Body, Powertrain, Electrical
  • Prioritise product backlog according to targets set by the business and lead Accessories Engineering PDL assigned activities, liaise/ negotiate on ownership, contribute to developing technical feasibility, drive design and commercial alignment, co-ordinate project resources
  • Support Core and Accessories projects and ceremonies as required to represent own team and resolve issues maintaining effective communication and collaboration across the business
  • Drives Engineering team delivery against timing, cost, AIMs, concerns, quality and supports Accessories delivery process & strategy improvements
  • Maintain effective communication and liaise with core Chapters to ensure platform, architecture and systems enablers are specified, agreed and deliverable for Accessories team

    Experience working in an engineering delivery/testing role, ideally with whole vehicle experience within engineering dev processes such as GPDS / PCDS / TCDS / EBER / AIMs / DFMEA / RMDV / WERS or similar
  • Ability to manage complex technical issues with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of stakeholder management
  • Project management, issue management process and problem-solving methodologies experience, with an understanding of influencing factors in a business case
  • Knowledge in design test planning, validation and reporting of vehicle mechanical and/or electrical systems, able to review CAD through Digibuck, Catia, 3D Live
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and toolset application for project/product management. Demonstrate high levels of leadership and be self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. An understanding of Systems engineering, Supplier Selection & APQP process
