Full Job Description

This role will be an integral part of the wider Finance & Business Intelligence (FBI) Team, supporting the delivery and development of improved performance across organisation.

The post holder will work with the Technical Accountant/Financial Accountant in ensuring financial information is processed in accordance with procedures and in order to provide information for statutory returns, through completion of own work and through the co-ordination of the work of others within the wider FBI team.

The role will support the undertaking and continuous improvement of monthly, quarterly and annual financial processes and statutory returns, alongside supporting with internal/external audit requests.

The post holder will be working in collaboration across the directorate ensuring the processes to accurately reflect and report the Trust financial position, to drive great care close to home.

This role supports either the Technical or Financial Accountant in delivering statutory financial reporting requirements to our stakeholders.

To ensure the ledgers are update in line with monthly closedown timetable.

To reconcile various control accounts.

To keep abreast with updates to appropriate guidance to ensure that the Trust is compliant.

To support with external submissions of monthly/ quarterly, annual financial reports through own work and co-ordination of work with others.

To support with the internal/external audit requests as appropriate.

To analyse, investigate and resolve financial queries and discrepancies. Providing assistance and advice as required.

To analyse financial data to identify any errors and correct from a range of options.

To support the undertaking and continuous improvement of financial processes and statutory returns in line with financial timescales and legal requirements
