Full Job Description

The post holder will: -Work as part of the team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of evidenced-based nursing care which may include outreach into the community as required. Demonstrate effective time management and organisation skills to ensure patients are seen within the required time frame with the support of the Acute Oncology Nurses and the Clinical/Medical Oncologists who provide sessional support to the service. Support the Acute Oncology Team (AOT) to deliver the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) for relevant cancer patients in line with national guidance and the requirements of the Quality Assurance Process. Work in partnership with other key staff within the AOS including Oncologists, Haematologists, and Specialist Palliative Care Teams, all cancer MDTs, Emergency Departments and AMUs.
