Full Job Description

Saint John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust, are seeking to appoint a Administration and Cover Assistant to ensure effective deployment of staffing and support the smooth running of our school office. We have a passionate and dedicated staff team, who are committed to providing an outstanding education for the children. Your responsibilities

  • Assist with operating the academy system for managing staff absence and room closures using the Cover module on our Management Information System (Arbor).

  • To support the Office Manager with Admissions.
  • To promote the ethos of the school when communicating with children, staff, parents, governors and visitors.
  • To provide a positive image of the school in accordance with the mission statement.
  • Undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and signing visitors in and out of the premises.
  • Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, liaise with parents, staff etc.
  • Process orders and receipt goods on behalf of the school.
