Joining us in an Administrative role at either MI5, MI6 or GCHQ, means you'll be providing the vital administrative service behind the UK's Intelligence Services. You could be gathering information, writing reports, managing databases, arranging meetings and travel, or supporting intelligence operations - you'll work as part of a friendly, collaborative team enabling our organisations to function. As a Senior Admin Officer with MI5, you will provide vital administrative support across a variety of business areas. You could work in a number of departments such as HR, Finance, Records Management or Information Management, and a range of tasks and responsibilities you could be involved in. Day to day you will be responsible for collating information and managing databases as well as some research and project work. You may be required to write up reports on your findings, which will be used to support our decision making. Other responsibilities may include arranging meetings, diary management as well as arranging travel. In whichever role you join us, you'll receive dedicated training and development; whether you're seeking your first professional role or looking to bring your existing experience somewhere new, you'll receive all the support you need to grow and enjoy a uniquely rewarding career. We recruit for these roles on a regular basis, so make sure you register your interest today. Doing so means you'll be notified as soon as applications open. Submitting a registration of interest also means you'll be invited to any online events we hold prior to applications opening. We'd particularly encourage people from Black, Asian or other ethnic minority backgrounds
- to register their interest for these roles. There's no 'type' of person we recruit, however we recognise these groups are currently underrepresented in our workforce. We value a culture where different insights, perspectives and experiences are welcomed - and where you'll always be encouraged to contribute, shape our work and be yourself.
Applications for Senior Admin Officer roles, based in London, Cheltenham or Manchester, will open on Monday 13th January at 10:00. Please note that the eligibility criteria for this role is two GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language at grades A-C/9-4, or 12 months continuous experience in an administrative role.
MI5, MI6 and GCHQ are the UK's Intelligence Services. We work together to safeguard Britain's people, interests and businesses from various threats at home, overseas and online, including cyber-attacks, espionage, terrorism, and organised crime. Working across our vital missions, you'll deliver impact at the heart of national security, all within a supportive and inclusive environment that allows everyone to thrive.
