Full Job Description

Hours: 20 hours per week, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday plus INSET days, including attendance at Open Mornings twice per year. In addition, to be flexibly available for up to 12 days in school holiday periods over the academic year to cover Office Manager leave. These 12 days will be agreed with notice at the Office Manager's request and may be a change in hours or times normally worked. The holiday hours will be varied and paid via timesheets.

Salary: £9,853 per annum pro-rata inclusive of holiday pay (£26,134 FTE)

Contract: Permanent, Term-Time Only (35 weeks) plus 12 days as detailed above.

We are seeking a Student Services Assistant to join our busy Student Services Unit at St George's College, which provides professional administrative services to the School. The role will suit someone with wide-ranging experience in business support and a proven ability in a broad range of administrative duties and customer service.

You will be proficient at working independently, proactively and flexibly and be able to prioritise challenging deadlines. You will have to adapt and comprehend complex situations quickly, whilst remaining calm under pressure.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer skills and the confidence to communicate with our Georgian family of staff, students and parents. A good level of IT competency, including Microsoft Office, is essential with a working knowledge of database systems. You will have to either hold a First Aid qualification or be prepared to undertake training to obtain this. Finally, although not essential, previous experience of working in a school environment, or with children, and knowledge of safeguarding will be an advantage.
