Full Job Description
To act as an advanced clinical specialist responsible for the triage, assessment and treatment of primary care and community clinic patients referred to the dietetics service.
To carry a specialist caseload specific to primary care and community clinics as well as the treatment of complex patients across these clinics.
To work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, to access and act upon relevant diagnostic tests and make relevant onward recommendations as necessary.
To act as the lead clinician within the defined primary care and community clinic specialistarea, supporting the Nutrition and Dietetic Team Manager with the operational delivery andservice development of the primary care and community clinic dietetic services within East Cheshire NHS Trust.
To act as an advanced clinical specialist providing clinical line management and supervision, for more junior staff within the primary care and community clinic setting for nutrition & dietetics services.
This is an exciting newly created post at East Cheshire Trust which acknowledges that Dietetics needs to be at the forefront of prevention and treatment in the Community and within Primary Care. Having Dietetic leadership and advanced clinical skills overseeing this will ensure patients receive excellent, efficient and up to date care.
