The role is part of a new service model as part of our one-stop clinics, and a great opportunity to really shape and innovate the way pain services are delivered within a biopsychosocial framework in line with our optimal pain pathway.

Main duties of the job

Cutting-Edge Practice : Utilise your advanced practice expertise to manage a varied and complex clinical caseload. Work directly with experienced rheumatology consultants, collaborating and benefitting from their expertise, mentorship, and insights regarding the latest evidence-based treatments.

Shape the future of rheumatology healthcare within our community service setting. Innovative Strategies : Be an integral part of delivering one-stop clinics, working directly with consultants.

These clinics streamline patient care, backed by point-of-care ultrasound availability. Manage non-inflammatory or persistent joint problems traditionally referred to secondary care.

Implement individualised treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. Triage referrals from GPs, directing patients effectively.

Integrated Community Service : Work across an integrated community service that includes MSK (Musculoskeletal), Pain, and Rheumatology.

Lead and participate in team meetings for holistic patient care. Provide specialty advice across the pathway. Research and Education : Engage in clinical research, advancing medical knowledge.

Deliver educational sessions to raise awareness of rheumatological conditions. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) : Advocate for culturally sensitive treatment plans.

Promote EDI initiatives to address healthcare disparities., Working within a dynamic group of clinicians and supporting service colleagues you will learn from and with them and be proud when you inspire and develop others from your expertise too.
