Full Job Description

We are looking for a talented Advanced Technician - Robot Welding to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for Cummins in Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom.

The Advanced Technician is responsible for programming and maintaining robotic weld systems, troubleshooting issues, and leading improvement activities. This role requires strong collaboration, effective communication, and a customer-focused approach, with an emphasis on safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Program and set up robotic weld systems to ensure accurate and efficient operation in alignment with production requirements.

  • Set and adjust weld jigs and fixtures to maintain precise welding standards and optimize production processes.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues on robotic weld systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operation.

  • Lead improvement activities and provide training to enhance team performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, reporting hazards and incidents, and using appropriate protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Apply high standards of workmanship by performing quality inspections, updating process documents, and supporting preventive maintenance activities.

  • Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of robotic weld systems.

  • Collaborate effectively with peers and support teams to identify manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and drive continuous process improvements., To be successful in this role you will need the following
