Full Job Description
Over recent years, the innovative team at Wheldon Infants and nursery school has developed the Early Years offer to provide a range of educational and creative activities for our pupils in class and beyond. We have worked hard to develop the Breakfast and After School Clubs. We find ourselves at an exciting time as the Department for Education supports the Early Years sector to roll out a range of initiatives across school settings. We would like to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our After School Club. The ideal person would have some experience of working within a school environment. You will work with the team to develop original and imaginative ideas to stimulate the pupils in After School Club to learn and play. The hours are Mon- Fri (term time only) 3:15pm - 6.00pm The role includes supervising the children, always ensuring their safety, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation, setting up activities for children to optionally take part in, meet and greet parents and provide them with feedback on their child's time at the club. Having fun in a safe environment! We welcome candidates with Level 2 or 3 Qualifications in play work or childcare. However, the qualification for this role is not necessary. If you would like to work towards such a qualification, working with our team would give you the experience to progress it and would be a great advantage. Paediatric first aid qualification desirable and you should be willing to undertake further training essential.
