Full Job Description
Perinatal Mental Health Team is a specialist mental health team that supports women and birthing people in the perinatal period with moderate to severe mental health difficulties using a multi-disciplinary approach. We are excited to be offering Specialist Applied Psychologist post within the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Community Service North Yorkshire and York. This post will provide services to the Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire geographic areas.
We are a specialist service that strives to deliver excellent standards of care to expectant and new mothers with severe and complex mental health problems. We are looking for a highly motivated practitioners with an interest in perinatal mental health, however further specialist training and supervision will be provided to the successful candidates.
The Applied Psychologist role is key to the provision of high-quality care for patients, carers, and families within Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Community Service. This role is highly valued in the team, Care Group and within the Trust, with good professional support., The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessments, formulation and therapies and be part of an MDT approach. Alongside direct clinical work, providing consultation, training, and clinical supervision to other team members as well as trainee and assistant psychologists are integral to the role.
This vacancy is a maternity leave cover.
The post holder may have to travel across the locality as required, therefore transport is essential. The post holder will hold and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
