Full Job Description

Apprentice Teaching Assistant - Grade 4 - Salary £24,790 - £25,584 (Actual salary for this post would be £18,729 to £19,329).
The Integrated Physical and Sensory Service (IPaSS) is a specialist educational support service for children and young people with visual, hearing, physical and speech and language challenges.
We have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join our specialist support service for the Deaf team as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant- in our secondary Resource Bases for Deaf children and young people.
We are looking for a suitable candidate to take on an Apprenticeship Teaching Assistant role to support the delivery of progress, enhancing teaching and learning activities for individuals and small groups, whilst working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn, train and develop to become a teaching assistant, specialising in working with children with Deafness then please come and join us.
The Secondary Resource Base for Deaf young people is located within Sirius Academy West. The base provides specialist teaching and support for children and young people through specialist staff comprising Qualified Teachers of the Deaf, Lead Specialist Practitioners, Specialist Teaching Assistants, a BSL Interpreter and Deaf Instructors.
