Full Job Description

An exciting apprenticeship training opportunity has been developed where you can progress your administration skills whilst undertaking a level 3 Business Administration qualification, whereupon completion of your training, which is expected to be completed within 18 months, you will progress to the post of a band 3 Higher Clerical Officer within the Audiology Clerical Team. This post holder will primarily work at Nye Bevan House in Rochdale. There will be some expectation of cross borough working within the clerical team.
It is a busy and demanding office environment and very busy on the telephones dealing with patient enquiries. It is an innovative,dynamic and cohesive team that provides admin support to the audiology service who provide assessment, treatment and advice to adults and children with hearing, tinnitus and balance difficulties.
You will provide comprehensive administration and secretarial support for the audiology service using various patient management computer systems and various software packages, manage enquires from patients, Clinicians, Managers and people from other organisations., + It is a busy and demanding office environment and very busy on the telephones dealing with patient enquiries.
+ Accepting referrals using e booking and allocating patients to appropriate clinic.
+ Provision of clinical correspondence and reports.
+ Respond pro-actively to patient telephone enquiries and book appointments.
+ Providing secretarial support to services in the provision of clinical correspondence and reports including typing, audio typing and
preparation of reports.
+ Accurately record outcomes on the patient management systems.
Highly competent computer skills.
+ Excellent communication skills with other professionals and the public.
+ Ability to produce work of a high standard to tight deadlines.
