Imagine a future where you monitor, troubleshoot, and remotely operate a range of generation assets in the world's largest offshore wind fleet, Join us in this role where you'll support GSCC on our journey to building a Generation Surveillance and Control Centre. You'll use our diagnostic tools, processes, and control systems to monitor our global offshore wind assets, troubleshooting and remotely operating a range of turbine platforms. As part of a shift of operators, you'll be responsible for alarm surveillance and response, control and coordination of our power export, and communication and coordination with our sites, traders, grid authorities, and other operations colleagues. Welcome to the UKW Engineering Hub You'll be part of Asset Surveillance & Response team where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure our assets perform safely, in compliance with UK and EU power regulations, and to their maximum availability. You'll monitor wind farm assets across the UK and Europe, with new projects under development in the US and APAC. The job location is in Barrow in Furness, UK, and the role requires in-person presence with no remote or hybrid setup. As a team, we support each other and continuously improve while staying professional, maintaining a calm work environment, and embracing learning opportunities. You'll play an important role in:
- monitoring and controlling offshore wind assets, ensuring compliance with regulations while troubleshooting issues and coordinating with various stakeholders,
- working closely with offshore coordination and power control teams to maximize asset performance,
- responding to turbine issues, using diagnostic tools for problem resolution, and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards
demonstrate good English skills, - are IT literate,
- have an engineering or technical background (is preferable but not mandatory) ,
- are ability to work in 24/7 shift environment with our great team of operators,
- will receive training on policies, procedures, and systems, enabling you to enhance your skills.
