I have a fantastic role available for an Assistant Buyer working in our Own Brand Menswear team based in Liverpool. This role is open for external and internal applicants who are looking to take ownership of a multi-category department. The team have gone from strength to strength and its a very exciting time to join., We have a really exciting opportunity here at the The Very Group. We are looking for an Assistant Buyer for our Own Brand team. You'll report directly into the Buyer for support and have lots of opportunity to further develop your skills. You will get a great amount of exposure and the opportunity to take ownership of this fast growing category. Day to day you will be owning the end to end process of setting up products to launch on our site using your understanding of category critical path, supply base and trading calendar. You will work with closely with internal marketing activity and ensure photography for gallery is receipted in line with critical path. You will have a focus on quality and will create collections that capture our target customer. Whilst reacting and responding to trade daily and taking appropriate actions to drives sales, you will ensure own brand are on track to hit their budget and to maximise all opportunities for growth. This role is suitable for an experienced Assistant Buyer who is looking to gain a great deal of autonomy and exposure in a role. The experience gained in having full accountability, will ensure your development into a Junior Buyer level role. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in delivering the planned growth against fashion across the next 5 years business strategy.

• Demonstrate buying experience in Own Brand (Menswear preferred but not essential)
• Ecommerce experience is desirable
• Be operating as an Assistant Buyer with a minimum of 2 years at this level
• Excellent knowledge of excel
• Creative with numbers - able to produce and analyse reporting in an articulate way
• Able to lead within peers
