Assistant Curriculum Area Leader - English We seek to welcome a passionate English teacher to our strong, well-led English Department, where "Expectations of all are high in the school. Students rise to these high expectations in their studies and their conduct. They have positive attitudes to learning and are keen to succeed" Ofsted 2022. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.K. English is a vital component of our curriculum, playing a pivotal role in shaping students' academic and personal growth. We offer a comprehensive range of courses comprising Year 9 English, GCSE English Language and Literature, English Functional Skills, and A-Level English Literature. Each course is designed to cater to diverse learning needs and interests. More than just a subject, English is fundamental to developing essential literacy skills that underpin success across all areas of life. For our students, we aim to foster critical thinking, effective communication, and broad understanding of language, literature, including its relevance to society. This is an exciting opportunity for an English specialist looking to grow in leadership and develop as an outstanding practitioner. You will join a friendly, supportive and experienced team of specialists consisting of the English Curriculum Lead, a KS5 coordinator and a senior leader. Developing leaders will be supported by dedicated CPD, including opportunity to for NPQ courses and other leadership training.
- An exceptional candidate would be eligible for an additional golden hello bonus of £2000 (paid end of first year) as well as the TLR payment.
